Limbic Entertainment and 505 Games to partner for new title

German developer of the recent Might and Magic series entries, Limbic Entertainment, has announced a new publishing partnership with Italian publisher 505 Games.

The new deal will see Limbic’s newest title, an unnamed survival sandbox games, published by 505 Games along with marketing rights worldwide. This marks the second big name that 505 have found publishing deals for, following OtherSide Entertainment (Paul Neurath and Warren Spector) joining with the publisher for the release of Underworld Ascendant.

Limbic has been working with Ubisoft for many years and is best known as the developer of the Might and Magic series in its more recent incarnations, with the last release being Might and Magic: Heroes VII and also contributed to Kalypso’s Tropico series with Tropico 6.

“Our team is excited to dive into creating a new IP, and we are especially happy with the creative freedom in our cooperation with 505 Games,” said CEO of Limbic Entertainment, Stephan Winter. “505 is making a name for itself as a great publishing partner, and we knew right away they were the right company to embark on this project with us, as we move to defy the current limitations of the survival genre. We think players will really respond to this game.”

“We are always on the lookout for new development partners who bring something unique to our diverse and indie-focused portfolio, and Limbic Entertainment’s new project does exactly that,” added SVP of global brand and marketing at 505 Games, Tim Woodley. “The team at Limbic is pushing the limits of the online multiplayer survival genre, putting a fresh spin on an emergent game world and an innovative character progression, and we’re looking forward to having a part in bringing that to players around the world.”
