Speaking in the concluding part of Develop’s London Special, Side creative director Andy Emery has said that he sees the UK capital as essential in championing good quality voice work, directing, and writing.
“In order to tap into this and ‘champion’ performances in video games, we’re continually meeting with agents and directors, attending actor showcases, theatre productions and preview screenings," stated Emery.
"Being based in central London allows us the flexibility to meet the talent and make introductions to clients, often at very short notice. The transport links, especially the proximity to key airports, are an added bonus for clients attending sessions from Europe, North America and Japan.”
In the studio profile, published online today, Emery also details the increasingly sophisticated relationship shared between developers and service providers, and sketches out a plan for the future of Side, and its subsidiary writing agency Sidelines.
