The president of LucasArts has stepped down from his role and left the studio.
Paul Meegan joined the developer in 2010 from Epic China, and led the studio in revealing work on the impressive Star Wars 1313 demo at E3, which many saw as the highlight of the show.
Meegan’s departure comes shortly after Clint Hocking’s exit from the studio to join Valve.
LucasArts has been under a large internal restructuring over the last few years, with may Star Wars developed titles being created outside of the studio.
Star Wars: The Old Republic was developed by BioWare, Kinect Star Wars by Microsoft, whilst LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars was made by Traveller’s Tales.
Despite Meegan’s departure, the studio has said work will continue on the company’s current projects, whilst it will also re-evaluate the team’s management structure.
“Paul has been a valuable member of the Lucasfilm leadership team and we wish him the best in his future endeavours,” said Lucasfilm COO Mich Chau.
“We remain committed to our current projects and will be re-evaluating LucasArts’ leadership needs to ensure that we make the right decisions to keep the studio focused.”
Meegan added: “LucasArts has come a long way and I’m extremely proud of what the teams have accomplished. We had a great E3 with Star Wars 1313, and have other exciting projects in the works. It’s been a privilege to be a part of Lucasfilm. I wish the company all the best.”
