Today is the last day of news coverage here at Develop. We’ll see you in the New Year!

Despite the fact it feels like only a few weeks since 2017 began, here we are at the end of the year. This has been one of the greatest years of game releases in a long time, and it’s been fantastic experience exploring the games industry with you all over the last twelve months. A lot has changed over that time, and things will continue to change as we move into 2018.

The industry will continue to innovate and evolve and Develop itself will be doing likewise, as we merge into a lean, mean, multi-discipline machine. The website will remain live until the end of January when the full merge takes place and we (along with Esports Pro) continue our in-depth reporting on the creative side of games development under the MCV banner.

We look forward to you all joining us on this journey as the new-look MCV magazine launches. In the meantime, we hope you enjoy the break and rest up, ready to make 2018 an even better year for games.

The Develop newsletter will return on the 2nd of January. We’ll see you then. Have a great break, a merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year!
