BulkyPix, the mobile publisher behind Pix'n Love Rush, Bardbarian and Penumbear, has begun liquidation.
The company, which was founded seven years ago by former Vivendi staffers, declared bankruptcy at the end of March, saying it would seek out a potential buyer to save it – a search that was ultimately fruitless.
The label’s decline has caused big problems for its developer partners, with studios turning to Reddit to voice their criticism of the company’s poor communication and support each other in the wake of the collapse.
One developer reposted a response from BulkyPix stating that the company’s bankruptcy did not legally allow developers to break their contract, restricting them from finding another publishing partner or requesting reimbursement for missed payments.
French devs have until October 18th to do so, while those based in other countries have an extra two months, taking the deadline to December 18th of this year.
