Namco Bandai has become the latest publisher to offer its support for the upcoming hackable console Ouya.
The Tekken and Ridge Racer developer has said it is currently in active discussions with the platform’s creators to bring some of its biggest gaming properties to the system.
Whilst it has not yet decided how it will support the console, the news of its potential backing will be a huge boost to the Android platform’s ambitions to take on the home entertainment space.
Previous developers to pledge their support for Ouya include Square Enix, which will be bringing Final Fantasy 3 HD to the system, U4ia and Robotoki.
"Namco Bandai Games and Ouya are currently in active discussions to bring some of the world’s biggest gaming properties to the exciting new open gaming platform," said Namco Marketing VP Carlson Choi.
"Namco Bandai brings with it a rich history of iconic gaming franchises, from classics like Pac-Man and Galaga, to seminal franchises like Tekken and Ridge Racer, and we’re excited to explore how we can work with Ouya to bring some great titles to the forthcoming console."
