A new independent game for Xbox One aims to both comfort children suffering with terminal illnesses and raise money for their treatments.
Adventure game I, Hope is the collaboration between the GameChanger charity, Czech developer hub Anomalia, and Kenny Roy from animation studio Arconyx.
The game puts players in the shoes of Hope, a young girl fighting to defeat a mysterious evil creature called Cancer that has destroyed her homeland.
100 per cent of the profits generated by the game will be go towards supporting children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.
I, Hope is due for release in 2017. You can read more about the game at Microsoft's website.
Roy is already planning longer sequels that can help children pass the time while they’re in hospital, and introduce Hope’s siblings to show how such a fight affects the family.
