The PlayStation Open Day will return, and this time it's travelling a little further than Leamington.
Sony has told Develop that its next developer event will be held in Kraków, Poland on Wednesday, May 7th. The platform holder has partnered with Polish event Digital Dragons, with the PlayStation Open Day kicking off the three-day conference.
More events are planned for Spain and Italy, with dates to be announced soon.
As always, developers will be able to sit in on sessions that not only clarify how they can get their games onto PlayStation formats, but also how they can improve their business practices when targeting any platform.
Topics discussed on May 7th will include 'The art of self-publishing on PlayStation' and 'PlayStation Development 101', both hosted by members of SCEE. Then 11 Bit Studios producer Marcin Jefimow will discuss 'PC game transformed into a next-gen wonder', followed by Develop contributing editor Will Freeman's 'Working with the press'.
You can find out more about Digital Dragons and the PlayStation Open Day at the former's website.
Sony's Agostino Simonetta said: "The PlayStation Open Days have proven to be extremely popular with the UK development community. We are very excited to bring them to other European countries, starting with Poland and with more dates for Spain and Italy to be announced very soon."
Krzysztof Krzyztofiak, VP of the Kraków Technology Park added: "We are very pleased that Kraków became the first place outside the UK to hold a PlayStation Open Day. This is another step for Kraków Technology Park in supporting the gaming industry. It is also a clear signal, confirming that Poland has become an important point on the game dev map of Europe."
