Oculus VR has entered into an agreement to acquire Pebbles Interfaces, a firm that specialists in hand-tracking.
The Israel-based firm has spent the past five years researching and developing algorithms to detect and track hand movement, as well as custom optics and sensor systems, according to the VR firm’s site.
Pebbles Interfaces will be working with Oculus’ own hardware engineering and computer vision teams to “help advance virtual reality, tracking and human-computer interactions”.
