Newly-hired John Vega will be signing promising indie efforts at next week's event

Pitch your game to Curve’s business development manager in person at Interface

Rising games publisher Curve has recruited John Vega as its new business development manager.

Vega will be attending Interface next week, and is on the hunt for new indie games for Cuve to publish.

Vega joins from Playjam where he managed publisher and developer relations. He acquired over 100 titles for the firm’s various channels.

At Curve he will be the first point of contact for external developments seeking support and funding.

Curve was acquired by The Catalis Group earlier this year and is embarking on a period of massive expansion.

You can meet Curve at Interface on Thursday. To do so, simply sign up here.

“Since the acquisition we’ve been inundated with new business requests, so we’ve created this role in order to ensure we’re making the most of our popularity,” says Curve MD Jason Perkins.

“We’re now able to explore a number of different business models, from Curve’s ‘traditional’ proposal where we fund and handle ports in-house, through to fully-funding external projects – something impossible without the support of Catalis. John’s skill in identifying titles early in development and working with teams through until completion will enable us to rapidly expand our portfolio – we see him as an integral part of the business.”

Vega added: “I’m thrilled to be joining a brilliant company at the most exciting time in its history,” adds John Vega. “The opportunities we’re now able to explore mean that this isn’t just a fantastic new role for me, but something definitely appealing to the wider development community. I can’t wait to get stuck in.”
