New Pollen360 advisory service open to small-to-medium sized app and games developers

Pollen VC launches free user acquisition coaching

London-based velocity capital firm Pollen VC has launched a new service to help mobile devs improve their user acquisition and improve their game’s chances of success.

The new advisory service, labelled Pollen360, offers “free and unbiased guidance” to small-to-medium sized app and games firms via a one-to-one coaching session with the company’s head of user acquisition Mika Levo. During this session, Levo will take a detailed look at the developer’s established marketing plans and offer advice on how the studio can improve their reach, response rates and return on investment.

Developers who are already signed up to Pollen’s revenue recycling service are eligible for further support from Pollen360, including additional coaching sessions.

“Mobile developers need to take a holistic look at how they approach marketing, from building a brand to optimising paid UA campaigns, otherwise it’s unlikely they will succeed, nor have a chance of making revenues,” said Levo. “Pollen360 aims to support developers through the early stages of launching their app or game so they learn the key skills to grow their user numbers quickly and sustainably.”

Brighton-based developer Fat Fish Games has already taken part in Pollen360’s trial run. Founder and MD David Lane said: "Pollen360’s data-driven approach to managing Facebook campaigns allowed us to convert more quality users and effectively spend more of our budget, increasing our install rate by 18 per cent, decreasing our CPI by half, and allowing us to save weeks in manpower.

“Overall, working with Pollen VC, to both recycle our earned revenues and now optimise our ad campaigns, also demonstrates to our investors that we are thinking end-to end about how to run a serious games app business, generate cash and grow going forward.”

Pollen VC is currently investigating mobile funding. You can help by taking part in their survey here.
