Human Head claims open world sequel is in â??limboâ??, but its status is unknown

Prey 2 stuck in limbo, says Human Head dev

The development of Prey 2 is stuck in limbo, according to a Human Head’s lead level designer Nathan Cheever.

Cheever tweeted that the upcoming first-person shooter has not been cancelled, but its fate is still to be determined.

Cheever’s comments follow actions from publisher Bethesda in April, when it confirmed the game was not cancelled, but would not ship in 2012 due to quality issues.

Human Head’s Prey 2 was first unveiled in March 2011.

The developer, based in Madison, Wisconsin, aimed to explore new areas of the Prey universe, focusing their efforts on the single-player campaign about a new alien abductee protagonist.

The studio planned to include a more progressive open world and give players a variety of options to solve their problems, from using brute force to more diplomatic means.
