Periscope Studio has released the first set of music packages for its innovative Psai music engine.

Launched earlier this year, Psai helps Unity developers add dynamic and interactive music to their games within the editor. The tool was initially launched with some basic music, but Periscope has now expanded this library.

Available through the Unity Asset Store, the Psai interactive music packages feature royalty-free tunes that are compatible with the engine. Each package includes five interactive music themes, designed to cover the needs of an entire game.

Five packages are available now – ranging from Battle & Action to Casual & Fun – with ten individual themes also for sale.

The music has been composed by Dynamedion, which has produced soundtracks for Mortal Kombat X, Hitman: Absolution, Elder Scrolls Online, Angry Birds Star Wars and Guild Wars 2. However, Periscope stresses these packages are built with “small to mid-sized Unity games” in mind, with Psai’s low memory footprint making them ideal for mobile titles.

The packages are priced at $99 each – with Periscope hosting a 2-for-1 launch sale – while single themes are $39. They all require the Psai music engine, which is available for free.
