Afternoon of sessions devoted to design, art, production and programming of Xbox One title

Rare to delve into Kinect Sports Rivals development at Develop in Brighton

Rare will provide an in-depth behind the scenes look at the development of Kinect Sports Rivals at Develop in Brighton in July.

The talks will provide a walkthrough of the two-year design process for the game, how it crafted the new art style and re-imagined Xbox Live Avatars for the game, the title’s production and how the studio’s programmers took on challenges set by the game’s designers and artists.

The sessions will take place on July 10th in Room 3 from 12:15 at the Hilton Metropole Hotel in Brighton. The Kinect Sports Rival teardown will take place across four seperate sessions during the afternoon.

“Because of the usual time pressures, and the need to cover so many topics, it can be difficult to dive too deep for any length of time on a single issue,” said Tandem Events conference director Ali Fearnley.

“This year that’s changed with our first teardown strand that will get right under the skin of a single game and analyse in detail the ideas and processes that brought Rare’s Kinect Sports Rivals to life.”

The Develop in Brighton Conference will take place between July 8th and 10th at the Hilton Metropole Hotel in Brighton.

The Develop Awards will also take place on July 9th. You can view all the finalists here.
