Before joining Climax, Welch held positions at Revolution and Bullfrog, working on iconic series such as Broken Sword, Theme Park and the Harry Potter tie-in titles.

He has since worked on Assassin’s Creed spin-off series Chronicles at Climax, as well as the developer’s Gear VR title Gunsight and a VR tech demo for the Amazon Lumberyard engine.

"Gary brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the post and his recent work in VR and AR is proving invaluable to our new projects,” said CEO Simon Gardner.

Welch himself added: “I am very excited to take on this role, especially with all the new and varied projects we have coming up.

“It’s going to be a diverse and interesting year for us, so I can’t wait to get started.”
