British game writer Rhianna Pratchett has won a Writers’ Guild of Great Britain award for her work on Overlord.
Pratchett was up against former Revolution designer Steve Ince for his adventure game ‘So Blonde’, Tom Jubert for the indie game Penumbra: Black Plague, and – curiously – herself alongside Tameem Antoniades and Andy Serkis for Ninja Theory/SCEE’s Heavenly Sword.
The award was presented by fellow UK game writer Andy Walsh, who has most recently been working on Ubisoft’s new Prince of Persia.
