EA has appointed recent recruit Samantha Ryan as the new head of its EA Mobile division.
Ryan joined the publisher in March 2015 as senior VP and group GM. But following the recent departure of long-time EA servant Frank Gibeau in May, she has named be named as his replacement.
Prior to joining EA, Ryan previously served as senior VP of production and development at Warner Bros. Interactive for eight years. She also has experience president of Monolith Productions, and director of marketing at Blue Planet Software and 21st Century Entertainment.
Earlier this year EA reported revenues for its mobile business grew to $524m. The monthly active users for its mobile titles was said to average more than 165 million during the last quarter. One of its leading games, The Simpsons: Tapped Out, claimed 16m MAUs throughout the year.
