Speaking in his keynote opening the final day of the Develop Conference in Brighton, Double Fine founder and Monkey Island legend Tim Schafer has said that his company will one day try self-publishing.
Asked by a member of the audience if he thought the new download platforms tempted Double Fine to attempt self-publishing, Schafer replied: "I always think about self-publishing - that would be an awesome thing to do. The second we have more money we're going to do that."
Presently Double Fine is committed to working with publishers. With a quartet of projects underway, Schafer used his keynote to praise the benefits of working simultaneously with a number of different publishers.
