Scoreloop, the popular social platform for mobile games, is set to launch across the Windows Phone 7 operating system.
Announcing the move today at the Mobile World Congress event, Scoreloop CEO Marc Gumpinger said supporting the Windows smartphone platform “is an important step”.
The news follows Nokia’s arrangement to develop smartphones on the Windows Phone platform.
Scoreloop is already available on Android, iOS, Bada and the Airplay operating systems. Its SDK allows game creators to implement online multiplayer features in games, such as score charts and online multiplayer.
The service also provides developers with the opportunity to promote their games to customers as they purchase similar Scoreloop-tied titles.
Early access to the Windows Phone edition will be granted to a limited number of developers before a public launch.
“As the first cross-platform social gaming ecosystem to add support for Windows Phone 7 this means we can offer the largest reach, greater revenue potential and increase the impact of developers using the Scoreloop SDK,” said Marc Gumpinger, Scoreloop CEO.
