Some 25,000 computer graphics professionals and game developers are heading to Los Angeles this month to attend Siggraph – a three-day event showcasing the newest ideas in GC and interactive design.
And now the five-day event now is adding key animation and production lectures to its roster.
Pixar Animation Studios will offer a talk on the art design of Toy Story 3, while Walt Disney Animation Studios will discuss managing animation resource.
These are just two of the range of new talks announced for Siggraph, as the key event expands its focus.
Pixar’s Bill Polson welcomed the new addition to Siggraph.
"Oftentimes the story behind the work is the most interesting part of it,” he said. “Siggraph celebrates this craft and these stories."
The event runs July 25-29.
