Localisation firm Synthesis has assumed control of Periscope’s translation, audio recording talent and infrastructure, as part of a new joint venture between the two firms.
The new company, called Synthesis Germany, will be half-owned by Periscope though also a Synthesis subsidiary.
Periscope will continue trading but its independent focus will be on music scores and its Psai middleware.
The two companies have been collaborating their services on a number of blockbuster titles since 2010, for clients such as Bethesda.
“We’re all very excited to be part of Synthesis and have the opportunity to help build on their successes in the German market,” said Carolin Schwarz, who has been appointed managing director of the new subsidiary.
