Localisation firm Synthesis has opened a new office in Taipei, Taiwan.
The branch will be responsible for traditional Chinese and Mandarin translation, linguistic quality assurance and voice-over recordings in the region.
Synthesis had previously used its Singapore and Japanese offices for translation services in the Korea and Chinese markets, working on titles such as Crystal Dynamics’ Tomb Raider. The new office will now serve as the centre of project management operations for the entire region.
“Our Taiwan office has been established to be our main centre for managing translation, audio recording and LQA specifically for Traditional Chinese language,” said Synthesis Taiwan MD Harry Inaba.
“Game localisation is a new thing for many developers and publishers wanting to enter these rapidly growing video game and app regions, especially in the Hong Kong and Macau markets. Together with our Singapore office, we can now fully service all our clients’ localisation demands across all of South East Asia.”
