Additions include 3D edit mode, character creator, .3DS import support and improved zombie AI

The Game Creators add new features for retail version of GameGuru

GameGuru, the new games development suite from The Game Creators, has come out of Early Access with a slew of new features for the final version.

Available to consumers and devs via Steam, the software now features a character creator, 3D edit mode, support for decal animation and improved zombie AI. It also allows users to create third-person and team-based multiplayer games.

The Game Creators have also introduced .3DS import support, allowing devs to bring in assets from Sketchup Pro and other programs. There are also multiple packs of assets now available, adding new characters, environments and objects based on Middle Eastern, Aztec and medieval themes.

“More gamers than ever want to create their own games and experiences and GameGuru is ideally placed to bring the world of game-making to a wider audience,” said TGC development director Rick Vanner.

“With GameGuru, we’re empowering any user of any talent level to make games. We’ll be adding more features and listening to our community as we continue to improve and evolve GameGuru.”

GameGuru was originally launched before GDC and is designed to teach consumers how to develop 3D games. You can check out a tutorial on how to get started with GameGuru right here.
