2008 edition of the Develop 100 set for release in April

The world’s 100 most successful studios are named next month

The world’s 100 most successful studios in the world will be named in the 2008 edition of the Develop 100 next month.

Released at the start of April with that month’s issue of Develop, the Develop 100 is an establised and authoritative must-read book which is referred to year-round by the global publishing and development community.

The book offers a definitive list of the most commercially-successful studios around the world, ranked in terms of the sale of their games during 2007 at UK retail, the third-biggest market for games on the planet.

The Develop 100 is produced in association with legal firm Sheridans by Develop publisher Intent Media and written by the magazine’s expert editorial team. Data is supplied using ChartTrack/ELSPA sales data.

EA Canada has been the ruling studio for the past three years – but many will be wondering if the world’s largest publisher’s biggest development resource has managed to retain its place at the top of the pile. You can see the 2007 rankings here – the official site will also be updated at the start of April.

And, even if your studio hasn’t made the grade or hasn’t released any major titles in the past year, you can still get involved, too – we have limited advertising opportunties available. To find out more contact Katie.Rawlings@intentmedia.co.uk
