A new game controller for Android and iOS has launched on Kickstarter that seeks to solve the bigest problem with gaming on smartphones: the interface.
Touch screen interfaces are so intuitive most smarphones don’t even come with instruction manuals, but hard core gamers have been hesitant to adopt a control mechanism that requires them to block the display with their finger.
The iMpulse gamepad seeks to make this barrier a thing of the past with what the designers claim is the world’s smallest wireless mobile game controller.
Black Powder Media has already raised over $28,000 of its $50,000 goal for the ambidextrous game pad, with 41 days left on the campaign.
The impulse is more than a gamepad though, and functions as a media controller and remote camera control.
Users can even use their smartphone to locate their keys with the device’s bluetooth.
