Lego Star Wars developer Traveller's Tales has acquired motion capture outfit Centroid.

TT Games buys Centroid

Centroid’s 10 employees will now be incorporated into parent company TT Games, as will 12 staff at its Serbian subsidiary, to form TT Centroid.

It is Traveller’s Tales’ second acquisition this year – in January it bought Embryonic, which has now become TT’s in-house team Fusion. Both deals were overseen by Farleys Solicitors.

Jon Burton, Travellers Tales’ managing director, said: “Acquiring Centroid Motion Capture allows us to add a further skill-set to the TT Games Group and strengthen our connections within the video games industry.

“We are also very excited by the lease we have secured for the new company at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, as this is where some of the biggest films in the country are produced and will increase our presence in the film making industry."
