Twitch has created a new role that will help developers make the most of its leading game streaming platform.
The firm’s new VP of game developer success will be responsible for helping developers with promotion, broadcaster relations, strategic counsel and creative initiatives. They will even offer advice on game design, according to GamesIndustry.
The first person to take up this role is Kathy Astromoff, founder of Blink: a company that helps devs connect with broadcasters. She has also worked as a freelance marketing consultant, and held roles at various divisions of UBM, the company responsible for organising the Game Developers’ Conference.
"Game developers have only just begun to tap into the potential that Twitch represents," she said. "Reshaping the way game developers engage with their communities in the age of social video is going to break down a lot of barriers in our industry."
