Games broadcasting service Twitch will not be available on the Xbox One until 2014.
The current scheduled release for the service on Microsoft’s next-gen console is "the first part" of next year.
Once available, Xbox Live Gold members will be able to view content being streamed through Twitch, which will also be compatible with the console’s ‘Snap mode’, allowing users to switch between screens.
The service will also have a number of media achievements for players who continue watching content.
Although Twitch will not launch until next year, Xbox One users will still be able to record and upload their only gameplay through the console’s own DVR.
"We know the ability to instantly broadcast gameplay is something the gaming community is excited about, and we are too," read a statement from Microsoft.
"We are working to ensure the initial Twitch on Xbox One broadcasting experience meets the expectations of the Twitch community, so while this feature won’t be available right away, we’ll let you know as soon as it is ready. Our goal is to deliver it during the first part of 2014."
