Ubisoft’s Shanghai studio is now in full production on the I Am Alive game, after Paris-based indie studio Darkworks abandoned the project last year.
The project has a tentative “winter” release date for now, though Ubisoft has confirmed the new IP will be an entirely digital product.
I Am Alive will launch on Xbox Live and PSN. Ubisoft is not targeting PC for the game’s release.
The game first surfaced in 2008, but quickly suffered from a protracted development operation at indie group Darkworks.
Apparently in mutual agreement, Ubisoft and Darkworks both agreed to abandon their agreement.
The game has undergone a complete revision since, according to Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot.
