Patrick Redding working on unannounced title at Montreal studio

Ubisoft Toronto creative director heads to Warner Bros

The creative director of Ubisoft Toronto has quit the publisher to join Warner Bros.

As spotted by Superannuation, Patrick Redding had been at Ubisoft for nearly ten years but is now holding a similar role at Warner Bros’ Montreal office. He is currently working on an unannounced title.

In October last year the studio committed to hiring another 100 staff thanks in part to a $1.5 million investment from the Quebec government. The company is also investing some $63 million into a project to bring in the new employees and buy new equipment.

The developer has worked on titles such as Batman: Arkham Origins and Lego Legends of Chima Online.

During his time at Ubisoft, Redding has worked as game director on titles such as Splinter Cell: Blacklist and as game director for the co-op element of Splinter Cell: Conviction. His other credits also include Far Cry: Instincts, Far Cry: Evolution and Far Cry 2.
