Unity has hired Natalya Tatarchuk as its new director of global graphics at Unity Technologies. She’ll be focusing on advancing the rendering tech and graphical performance of the Unity engine.
Tatarchuk joins from Bungie, where she was the graphics lead and engineering architect, working on Destiny’s cross-platform rendering engine, and the game graphics for the franchise. Before this, she also worked on the graphical engineering behind the companies smash-hit Halo series, working on Halo: ODST and Halo: Reach.
“We’re thrilled Natalya joined Unity, she brings a wealth of experience and technical expertise in graphics and rendering to the team,” said Brett Bibby, Unity Technologies’ VP of Engineering. “Her leadership will be key to implementing new and innovative graphics technologies that allow creators to bring both beautiful and successful games and experiences to market."
Tatarchuk is incredibly experienced in the field. Before she moved into full-time game development, she was a graphics software architect and a lead in the Game Computing Application Group at AMD Graphics Products Group. She’s also a member of several industry and hardware advisory boards.
