Valve has released the follow up to its original Discovery Update, cleverly named Discovery Update 2.0, and there are plenty of new features aimed to help customers find the gems amongst the oversaturated marketplace.

This new update is the sequel to the original Discovery Update that came along in 2014 and introduced the Discovery Queue, which made recommendations based on your purchases, and the Curator system, where websites, individuals and groups could create their own lists of recommended purchases.

The new update doesn't introduce any new systems, but for developers there are a few things to keep track of: for developers selling in different markets, Steam will now display a local top-sellers list, and gamers will be able to remove games or areas that they're not interested in seeing in the new look user interface.

Valve claim the new system is smarter and better for consumers, and also includes Steam's new rules for screenshots, insisting screenshots for Steam pages will need to be real screenshots from the publicly available version of their game.
