Hallowed PC games firm Valve is set to almost double its workspace in early 2017 as it relocates its operations to a new Seattle-based office.

The Dota 2, Team Fortress 2 and Counter-Strike developer (it also created a long-forgotten PC game, Half... something?) has been in its current 125,000-square-foot Bellevue, Washington building since 2010.

Its new crib will consist of nine floors of the new Lincoln Square tower, bumping its available area to approximately 225,000 square feet – roughly a third of the tower’s 710,000 square feet of space.

The developer, distributor and – with the recent launch of the Vive VR headset, Steam Machines and Steam Controller – hardware firm will be in good company: former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer currently rents the top floor of the tower.

Valve will make the move in May 2017.
