The Develop Awards 2012 was a memorable and emotional evening for many, and now you can relive the ceremony with our highlights video below.
The latest edition of Develop magazine, which is now available to read through your browser and on iPad, features all the winners, images and quotes from those lucky enough to win a sought-after accolade.
The highlights video below offers a glimpse into just what winning a Develop Award means to those in the games industry, with the likes of Valve, Mind Candy, Bossa, CCP and Development Legend David Perry expressing their elation at winning a trophy.
"It’s a fantastic community and we’re honoured to be part of it and recognised by it,” said Valve’s Anna Sweet, whose studio won the Publishing Hero award.
“You’re recognised in a room full of people from Microsoft to EA and everyone else, it’s a huge honour for us,” said Mind Candy’s Darran Garnham, which won the Grand Prix prize.
Gaikai boss and Development Legend winner David Perry said: “This is really what it’s all about quite frankly. These are people that I’ve known my entire career, When you get everyone together there’s a real camaraderie.
“It’s something when you get it from those people that you know it means so much more.”
