New Sensible Software biography also up for grabs

Win a signed copy of Sensible Soccer

How’s this for an early Christmas present?

Develop has teamed up with new book publisher Read Only Memory to give you the chance to win a signed copy of the original Sensible Soccer.

The Atari ST game is in its original sealed packaging and has been signed by Sensible Software co-founder Jon Hare. Don’t believe us? That’s it pictured below.

The winner will also receive a copy of Read Only Memory’s Sensible Software: 1986 – 1999, a comprehensive biography looking into the history of the iconic British studio and the legacy left by its smash hits, including Sensible Soccer and Cannon Fodder.

The book is worth £25, while the value of the signed game depends on how much of a Sensible Soccer nut you are.

All you need to do is answer this simple question, the answer of which can be found in the free extract of Sensible Software: 1986 – 1999 that we’ve published here.

Question: What did Jon Hare have shoved into his ear during a playground fight?

If you think you know the answer, email it to James.Batchelor@intentmedia.co.uk with the subject line "Bring back Sensible Soccer". Be sure to include your full name, address and the studio/company you work for.

You have until 5pm on Thursday, December 12th to enter. We will announce the winner on Monday, December 16th and dispatch the prize as soon as possible. Although, like any retailer at that point, we can’t guarantee delivery by Christmas.

Best of luck, everyone.
