UK developer Zoe Mode will be the first group to see one of its games released by the non-profit charity publisher OneBigGame.

Zoe Mode, which has studios in Brighton, London and San Francisco, has voluntarily developed Chime; a music-based-puzzle game set to launch across XBLA this winter.

OneBigGame – which was founded in 2007 – donates its profits to various causes that help less fortunate children.

The publisher has contracted around fifteen projects from various developers, all of which are undertaken voluntarily.

As part of the deal, at least 60 per cent of Chime’s royalties will be given to charity.

“Zoë Mode believes that games are powerful ways of bringing people together and having fun and that there’s more to life than gaming, but that gaming can make life better,” read a joint-announcement.

The remaining OneBigGame titles will be released throughout 2010, all of which will be available on OneBigGame’s online portal for a limited period.
