Zynga has appointed its VP of games as the new chief creative officer at the company.
As reported by AllThingsD, Tim LeTourneau, who was in charge of the launch of FarmVille 2, has replaced Mike Verdu as CCO after he left the social games giant in August to form his own company, of which Zynga is an investor.
LeTourneau will now move away from leading FarmVille 2 and will be responsible for game design across Zynga.
He will report to president of games Steve Chiang, while Maureen Fan has been made new general manager for FarmVille 2, having previously served as senior director of product and executive producer.
Zynga has been shifting around a number of its staff of late in the wake of a large exodus of executives in recent months.
In November alone, Zynga’s CFO David Wehner, who was replaced by chief accounting officer Mark Vranesh, and treasurer Mike Gupta has left the social games giant, with the latter leaving to join Twitter as VP of corporate finance and treasurer.
The firm has also recently promoted former chief mobile officer David Ko to the role of chief operations officer, replacing John Schappert who left in August, which could mark a shift in focus for the company to a stronger mobile push.
