Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition headed to PS4 and Xbox One on October 27th

Cult hit RPG Divinity: Original Sin’s remastered and revamped re-release has been dated for consoles and PC.

The Kickstarted title is a throwback to role-playing games of old, such as Baldur’s Gate, and originally came to PC last year.

It went on to sell far more than half a million units, topping the Steam best-seller chart for much of the summer.

Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition adds several new features, including console-friendly controller support and split-screen multiplayer.

The improvements will be free to existing owners of the game on PC, with the update launching alongside the digital and retail versions of Larian Studios’ title on PS4 and Xbox One.

Other additions include fully-voiced dialogues, new quests, combat tweaks, an expansion to the crafting system and a reworked narrative.

The changes will all make their way to sequel Divinity: Original Sin 2, which quadrupled its $500,000 crowdfunding target to raise more than $2 million and hit all of its initial stretch goals.

Original Sin 2 is pencilled for a 2016 release, giving newcomers plenty of time to make their way through Larian’s first effort.
