“We are currently finishing up the Siltbreaker campaign and will unfortunately need to delay it until next week,” read a tweet from the official Dota 2 Twitter account.

After the news was announced on fan decided to let Valve know about his disappointment and emailed Valve staffer Erik Johnson. Erik swiftly responded and his email was then posted on Reddit, so the whole world can see his explanation for the delay.

A message from Erik Johnson regarding Siltbreaker delay. from DotA2

Seems pretty reasonable to us, as we know the backlash that Valve would get if they released a buggy co-op campaign.

Siltbreaker is set to be the first Dota 2 content with a story, and this has got many fans very excited. In fact it is the first Valve project to feature a full story for quite some time. Hopefully the short delay will mean this is as good as we all hope.
