Driveclub owners offered free DLC

Evolution has said that it will give out free DLC to existing owners of Driveclub.

The developer had planned to release a number of premium DLC packs for the troubled PS4 racer this month, but it has now chosen to drop the charges for existing owners as recompense for the still as-of-yet unresolved online problems that continue to burden the title.

The content offers five new cars, 22 new tour events, some new liveries and additional Trophies. Also incoming is Photo Mode, improved multiplayer collision detection and a softening of the corner cutting penalty system.

As a consequence, Season Pass holders – who were already due to receive the content for free – will now see four additional packs offered to them in July.

Less positive however is the continued MIA of a release date for PlayStation Plus Edition of the game.

Although currently we do not have an update regarding the timing for the launch of the PS Plus Edition, we are continually working on improving the server capacity to enable us to launch the PS Plus Edition as quickly as possible,” Evolution said.

We are truly sorry that the road to delivering the full Driveclub racing experience on PS4 has been such a rocky one.”
