Racing game will be launch title for PlayStation VR in Japan

DriveClub VR announced despite Evolution closure

The demise of UK developer Evolution did not spell the end for DriveClub it seems: Sony has announced a virtual reality spin-off.

DriveClub VR was officially announced via Sony’s Japanese blog and is expected to be available when PlayStation’s virtual reality device launches on October 13th, VideoGamer reports.

The game will include “a collection of brand new tracks” and will put players into the action via a first-person cockpit view, complete with 3D audio.

There’s no word yet on who is developing the game given that the original game’s creator Evolution was closed earlier this year. The team has since been picked up by Codemasters.
