Shigeru Miyamoto has announced that Pikmin 3 is coming to Wii U, according to Eurogamer.
The Nintendo guru said he decided to delay development on the planned Wii title and move it over to Nintendo’s newly announced successor.
He added the franchise will be especially suited to HD visuals.
A release window hasn’t been given, but Miyamoto said that it might not be too long after the Wii U’s release before the title arrives.
Last year, Miyamoto told the UK’s Official Nintendo Magazine that Pikmin 3 development was well under way. Pikmin 3 was first confirmed in 2008.
