EA: Free-running now in NFS

Need For Speed: The Run will take its title all too literally with the new free-running sections.

During the publisher’s E3 press conference, EA announced that Black Box’s next NFS title will see players leaving their cars at certain points in the game for a spot of Parkour-style running.

The new gameplay mechanics were demonstrated during the conference, with the player’s race interrupted by a collision, triggering a race across the rooftops.

Players will also have to sneak behind police cars and take out cops with melee attacks in order to steal their car and continue the race.

Need For Speed The Run is due on November 18th, and will once again feature the popular Autolog feature introduced in last year’s NFS Hot Pursuit.
