John Earner, the Playfish executive who spearheaded breakthrough games Pet Society and Restaurant City, is believed to have left parent company EA.
The young games exec will join investment group Accel Partners, according to a Tech Crunch report.
EA has yet to comment on the matter.
If true, Earner’s departure would follow the exodus of about ten high-paid executives at Electronic Arts over the past twelve months.
The most prominent was second-in-command John Schappert, who last year defected to Zynga. The most recent was also to the benefit of Zynga, with EA Interactive boss Barry Cottle jumping ship to the social games firm.
