EA to sue South Park creators?

Publisher EA has hinted that it may turn to the courts following the debut episode of the 14th series of controversial cartoon South Park, which focused on struggling golf star Tiger Woods – and his relationship with EA.

Dubbed Sexual healing, the episode depicted Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 as including a level where Tiger confronts his wife about his secret ‘transgressions’, with the game eventually turning into a side-scrolling fighter.

Soon after the airing of the episode the top beef were called in, even Peter Moore was informed of the situation,” an EA source reportedly told DailyInformer.

Before the episode aired the marketing folks were already worried, but now they have a lot more to worry about.

While I personally found the episode quite funny, there are definitely a few copyright infringements in there that I’m sure will be dealt with accordingly.”
