The final nominees for the Elan Awards 2009 have been confirmed, as has the date and venue for the ceremony
Tom Kenny, known for his role as the voice of SpongeBob SquarePants, will host the event on Saturday, April 25th in the Pacific Ballroom at the Fairmount Hotel in Vancouver.
The nominees for both Game of the Year and Best Console Game are Gears of War 2, Fable II, Fallout 3 and Left 4 Dead. Bethesda and Valve’s titles are also finalists in the Best PC Game category, along with Crysis Warhead and Lord of the Rings: Online.
"The Elan Awards give our industry a chance to celebrate the talents and creativity of the people who create these art forms," said Kelly Zmak, president of event founding partner Radical Entertainment.
"At a time where we are surrounded by bad new and a barrage of negativity, the Elan awards give us a chance to celebrate the positives of our industry and the people who make it great."
