Chinese LoL player banned after provoking and ignoring a referee

Xie “Icon” Tianyu, the mid laner for Chinese League of Legends team Oh My God, has been banned from playing in the team’s next game.

The ban has been handed down after Icon decided to annoy the referee in his game against Game Talents. After throwing his headset Icon apparently provoked the referee, and then proceed to ignore him and refused to communicate with him when spoken to.

This is in violation of Riot’s rules surrounding professional behaviour, and as such has netted the player a ban from the team’s next match. That match is again Edward Gaming, one of the best Chinese teams, and Icon will not be allowed to play in the match at all. He will however be allowed to return to the team after that game has been played.
