Classic Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 map Rust is coming to Infinite Warfare

Activision has announced the next DLC pack for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, and it includes a remake of one of the series’ most well loved maps.

The Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Continuum DLC pack will add four maps and a new Zombies experience and will launch on April 18th. The headline map is called Excess, which is a re-imagining of the classic Rust map from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The other maps are called Archive, Scrap and Turista.

The map was a favourite among players for its small size and varying height levels. It was perfect for 1vs1 and sniping matches. While there will be some small changes to the map this will very much be the Rust that we all know and love, just with a more futuristic setting.

“We couldn’t be more excited to deliver a new co-op zombies chapter with Shaolin Shuffle, with an all-new setting and story, that continues the wild and increasingly twisted narrative,” said Dave Stohl, Studio Head of Infinity Ward. “For multiplayer, we’re creating a diverse set of maps from Turista and Scrap, to Archive, that cater to various play styles in cool ways and allow fans to experiment with different rigs and loadouts. And then there’s Rust, one of our all-time favourite maps from Modern Warfare 2, re-imagined and now called Excess to complete the multiplayer package.”
