DreamHack Masters returns to Malmo later this year

While the DreamHack Masters Las Vegas CS:GO event is just weeks away the company has already confirmed that the DreamHack Masters event will be returning to Malmo later this year.

The event, which was first held in 2016, will return to the Malmö Arena between August 30th and September 3rd. 16 of the best CS:GO teams in the world will compete for a share of the $250,000 prize pool and the title of DreamHack Masters champions.

“Sweden is the home of Counter-Strike, and in 2016 our event in Malmö exceeded all of our expectations,” said Marcus Lindmark, CEO of Dreamhack. “We’re hugely excited to return to Malmö Arena and continue to host the largest CS:GO event in the Nordics!”

“It’s with honor and pleasure that we welcome DreamHack Masters back to Malmö and Malmö Arena again in September,” said Malmö Arena’s CEO, Karin Mårtensson. “The event connects so well with Malmö’s image as a hub for gaming business and knowledge.”
