Dustin Browder leaves Heroes of the Storm team

Dustin Browder has announced that he is stepping down as the game director for Heroes of the Storm.

He will now move onto other projects within Blizzard, and will leave Heroes of the Storm in the capable hands of Alan Dabiri who has been a software engineer for the last 20 years at Blizzard. Dabiri was also the driving force behind the Heroes Brawl mode that recently made its way into the game.

Browder’s move away from the HotS team will come as a blow to many fans, as he was very active in the community, keeping hardcore fans in the loop. Dabiri has also been somewhat of a face of the game, so it will be interesting to see if he becomes as active as Browder has been.

While the news is surprising the move has apparently been in the works for weeks, with a transition period currently coming to an end.
